Accessibility Statement
We want Handwriting Repeater to be usable by every teacher, child and parent. This statement says what we aim for, what we test and what does not work yet. It was last reviewed on 24 September 2026.

What Do We Aim For?
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:
- everything works with a keyboard, and focus is always visible
- screen readers get real headings, lists, tables and labelled controls
- text and controls have enough colour contrast, and colour is never the only way a fact is shown
- animations respect the "reduce motion" setting and show still frames instead
- every animation and diagram has a text version: the same steps as an ordered list
- touch targets are large enough for small hands and for a whiteboard viewed from the back of a room
What Can You Change?
The tool has larger lines, a slower playback speed, high-contrast and low-glare settings, and coloured backgrounds. Worksheets can be printed with wider spacing and larger start dots.
What Does Not Work Yet?
We have not yet completed our first full audit, and will list any issues here.
Some activities are drawn by hand, such as tracing on a tablet. For anyone who cannot trace, each one has an alternative: watch the animation, follow the written steps, or print the sheet.
How Do You Test?
Every release is checked with automated accessibility tests, then tested by hand with a keyboard only, with a screen reader (VoiceOver and NVDA), with 200% zoom and with "reduce motion" turned on. We record the date of each full audit on this page.
